Overview
Provides physics services related to the planning and delivery of therapeutic radiation treatment in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's prescription. Provides technical leadership including clinical set-up expertise to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists and therapists. Performs quality assurance checks according to regulatory requirements and industry standards for all department equipment.

Qualifications

Education

Master’s degree of Science in Medical Physics, or related discipline Required

Work Experience

3 years of clinical experience in a radiation therapy department or completion of a CAMPEP approved residency program Required

Licenses and Certifications

(R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer Board Eligible by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiation Physics Upon Hire Required and

Ability to be listed as an authorized user on State of Georgia Radioactive Material License Upon Hire Required and

Participation in the American Board of Radiology Maintenance of Certification Program Upon Hire Required
