Koniag Management Solutions, LLC is seeking a motivated ServiceNow Developer to join our IT team and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow (SNOW) solutions that support our business operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level developer to grow their ServiceNow expertise while working on diverse projects and learning from senior team members. The ideal candidate will have foundational ServiceNow experience and a strong desire to advance their technical skills.

 

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

The SNOW Developer will work under the guidance of senior developers and collaborate with business stakeholders to configure and customize the ServiceNow platform. This individual will contribute to development efforts, learn best practices, and support the delivery of ServiceNow modules and integrations. Principal responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Configure and develop ServiceNow applications and modules, primarily in ITSM and other platform capabilities

Develop and maintain workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and catalog items

Assist with system integrations between ServiceNow and other applications using REST, SOAP, and integration tools

Write and maintain clear, well-documented code following established development standards

Participate in requirement gathering sessions with business analysts and stakeholders

Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing activities

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the ServiceNow platform with guidance from senior team members

Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve development skills

Assist with platform upgrades, testing, and release management activities

Create and update technical documentation for configuration and customization work

Stay current with ServiceNow platform updates and participate in training opportunities

Support production incidents and service requests as needed

Support Agile development approach for feature and platform delivery

Support change management activities related to ServiceNow implementation

 

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience

Minimum 1-4 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience

Experience with at least (2) full lifecycle ServiceNow implementations (Design through O&M)

Experience working with at least one ServiceNow module (ITSM, ITOM, ITBM/SPM, CSM, HR, or others)

Practical experience with ServiceNow development tools and scripting

 

Required Skills and Competencies:

Working knowledge of JavaScript and ability to write functional scripts

Understanding of ServiceNow platform basics including tables, forms, lists, and UI configuration

Experience with ServiceNow development tools: Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, Workflows

Basic understanding of web technologies: HTML, CSS, XML, and JSON

Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs and basic integration concepts

Basic understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request)

Fundamental database concepts and querying capabilities

Ability to follow technical documentation and coding standards

Strong willingness to learn and develop new technical skills

Good analytical and problem-solving abilities

Effective communication skills with ability to ask clarifying questions

Team player who collaborates well with others

Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines

Attention to detail and commitment to quality work

Customer service mindset with focus on user experience

Adaptability and openness to feedback and coaching

Self-motivated with ability to work with moderate supervision

 

Security Requirement:

Ability to obtain a Public Trust

 

Desired Skills and Competencies:

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or working toward certification

Exposure to Service Portal or UI Builder development

Experience with Flow Designer

Familiarity with SNOW reporting and dashboards

Experience with SNOW Update Sets and source control concepts

Understanding of SNOW IntegrationHub basics

Basic knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies

Basic project coordination or task management experience

Experience with ticketing or workflow systems

Demonstrated ability to learn technical concepts quickly

Participation in ServiceNow community forums or user groups

Training or documentation creation experience

Basic understanding of business process analysis

Problem management and troubleshooting experience
