About The Role
The Mid-Level Wireless Engineer plays a key role in deploying and supporting enterprise wireless networks across a variety of customer environments. This is a wireless-first delivery position focused on executing established wireless designs, performing site surveys, validating network performance, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
You will work closely with senior wireless architects while independently carrying out well-defined implementation and validation tasks. The ideal candidate combines practical wireless experience with solid enterprise networking fundamentals to ensure high-performing and reliable wireless infrastructure.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys field execution, wireless optimization, and developing deeper expertise in enterprise WLAN technologies.
Other responsibilities include:
Wireless Engineering (Primary Focus)
Execute enterprise wireless deployments in campus and office environments
Perform predictive and post-deployment wireless surveys (Ekahau preferred)
Collect site information and validate environmental conditions
Troubleshoot coverage, interference, roaming, and authentication issues
Configure SSIDs, RF profiles, and wireless security policies
Produce wireless deliverables including survey reports, heatmaps, and validation documentation
Execute standardized wireless deployment workflows aligned with service offerings
Escalate advanced RF design challenges and architecture exceptions to senior engineers
Enterprise Networking (Supporting Wireless Outcomes)
Configure and support enterprise LAN infrastructure supporting wireless services
Implement VLANs, trunking, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Link Aggregation (LACP), and basic Quality of Service (QoS)
Support static routing and OSPF environments
Troubleshoot Layer 1–3 connectivity issues
Assist with network upgrades, refresh projects, and lifecycle management
Maintain network documentation and topology diagrams
Network Security & Access
Support 802.1X authentication, RADIUS services, and Network Access Control (NAC) solutions
Assist with network segmentation and access control implementations
Follow established security, compliance, and change management standards
Complete ongoing security awareness training and comply with company policies to the requirements section
Identify and escalate security risks to the appropriate Executive Leadership Team member and actively contribute to remediation efforts

Desired skills and experience:
3–6 years of enterprise wireless and networking experience
Hands-on experience deploying and supporting enterprise WLAN environments
Experience conducting wireless surveys and validations (Ekahau preferred)
Strong understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise networking fundamentals
Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to execute designs and standards developed by senior engineers
Experience with cloud-managed networking platforms such as Aruba Central, Meraki, or Mist
Exposure to enterprise firewall technologies
Familiarity with NAC solutions and wireless authentication frameworks
CWNA (Certified Wireless Network Administrator)
Vendor-specific wireless certifications
CCNA Enterprise
Must be based in the United States.

Pursuant to the NYC Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range in New York City for this position is $80,000- $90,000, plus opportunities for profit-sharing bonus and/or commission. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
