The Director of National Accounts - Remote  leads efforts around creation and initiation of sales strategy for assigned hospital customers and Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) .  Leading a team of National Account Directors, this position will lead development and execution of Hanger Clinic’s strategy for the development of partnerships and contractual agreements with individual hospitals, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN), and GPO channel partners. The position will collaborate closely with the Hanger clinic organization including clinic and operational leadership, zone sales leadership, field sales team, as well as distribution and purchasing, to grow the health system business for Hanger. 

Your Impact

Develop strategic hospital partnerships that drive revenue in both direct sales and downstream Hanger O&P business

Select, train and develop National Account Director team to ensure top performance and high level team engagement

Develop relationships and negotiate contracts with hospital systems and GPO partners at the corporate level

Provide leadership and coaching on hospital and health systems strategy to NAD team and to Hanger Clinic Leadership.

Create and maintain Hanger favorable contracting constructs that drive retention strategy

Work with Zone Sales Leadership team to establish goals, strategic sales plans, and targets.

Partner with Hanger Enterprise team on creating, integrating, and coordinating products and services that differentiate Hanger

Partner with field teams to drive growth at local and regional level

Collaborate with marketing organization for the development and execution of a value proposition for hospitals.

Manage and own relationship between Hanger and external partners whom we collaborate with to support hospital agreements.

Maintain a solid understanding of current market dynamics and healthcare trends within the industry and leading hospital systems.

Establish executive level relationships with all stakeholders.

Partner in defining the approach and metrics to measure the effectiveness of Hanger’s hospital relationships.

Perform other related project, system and analytical duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience and Education:

 

Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent

At least 10 years of experience in progressive Healthcare Sales, Business Development and GPO channel partner roles with at least 3 years working at Senior Management level

Demonstrated Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) relationships, agreements, and contractual obligations experience

Preferred

Master’s in healthcare administration or MBA

Additional Success Factors

Demonstrated understanding of complex health systems environment/industry essential

Demonstration of sales process/ management of funnel expertise

Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and negotiate contracts with hospital systems and GPO partners at the corporate level

Demonstrated success in leading sales professionals in the healthcare industry

Demonstrated ability to work directly with Supply Chain/ C level decision-makers of hospitals and IDN’s

An ability to travel 50-75%, dependent upon target priorities

Success in creation and articulation  of key and differentiated value proposition 

Knowledge and success of the hospital purchasing environment

A track record of meeting or exceeding targets and objectives

Ability to think creatively & bring innovative solutions to market challenges

Demonstrated ability to understand complex product offerings and customer issues

Pay range of $160,000 to $180,000 annual salary + annual bonus: up to 30% of base pay depending on bonus criteria.  This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws.  Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
