Navy Program Solutions Architect/Team Leader
Overview:
The Navy Program Solutions Architect/Team Leader plays a supporting role to technical and management leadership within the Navy GIS Support team. The Navy GIS Support team is an experienced team of 24-30 individuals who maintain the large and complex geodatabases as well as the integrated applications, enterprise software, custom modules, and business data linkages of the global Navy GIS “GeoReadiness” System. This team is comprised of Jr and Sr level GIS Analysts, Developers, DBAs, and GeoSolutions/GeoDatabase Engineers who enhance and maintain the GeoReadiness Enterprise System which supports users at Navy installations and remote locations around the world. Multiple business lines and business data systems operate within the system or rely on communications with the system. The team must also provide direct user support to assist Navy GIS data managers and data users with software and data issues and troubleshooting. NV5’s successful integration with Naval Facility enterprise workflows has been instrumental to the health and value of the program.
Key responsibilities of this role include interfacing with Navy GIS Clients and the Contracting Officer’s Representative, facilitating technical DEVSECOPS workflow and programmatic process improvements, monitoring project benchmarks, providing oversight of deliverable quality control (QC), personnel and task management via Jira, and providing professional mentorship.
