Job Description:
• Design and implement advanced network architectures to support organizational goals and scalability
• Lead the planning and execution of network upgrades, migrations, and expansions
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical network issues
• Optimize network performance and scalability through proactive monitoring and adjustments
• Develop and enforce network policies, procedures, and security protocols
• Manage the lifecycle of network hardware and software, including procurement and upgrades
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and address long-term network requirements
• Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures for knowledge sharing
• Mentor and train junior engineers to build team expertise and capabilities
• Ensure compliance with federal IT security standards, such as FISMA, NIST, and other applicable regulations.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7 years of experience in network engineering or a related IT role
• Expertise in advanced networking protocols, such as MPLS, BGP, and QoS
• Proficiency in managing enterprise-level network hardware and software
• Strong understanding of network security frameworks and tools, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems
• Experience with cloud networking solutions, such as AWS or Azure
• Relevant certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Juniper Networks Certified Professional (JNCP), are highly desirable
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams in high-pressure environments
• Strong analytical skills to assess and improve network performance and reliability.
