Operations Analyst

Pay Rate The annual base salary range for this position is $50,000-$80,000. Salary information is a general guideline. We consider factors such as position, responsibilities, work experience, education, training, and skills when extending an offer.

Who You'll Report To This position reports to the Director of Managed Services Operations with oversight from the Senior Operations Analyst.
About The Role This role falls under Sawdey's Managed Services Division (MSD). Sawdey MSD is a full-service MSP/MSSP providing IT and cybersecurity services to clients including defense/government contractors, municipalities, non-profits, and commercial organizations. The Operations Analyst will support Sawdey MSD client relationships from an operational and financial perspective.
Responsibilities
• Reconcile client agreements/invoices with correct user, workstation, license counts, etc.
• Obtain quotes from vendors/distributors and order equipment/licenses as requested for clients and Sawdey.
• Prepare sales and purchase orders related to both clients and Sawdey.
• Assist with preparing client invoices and drafting client invoice emails.
• Assist with drafting new Sawdey MSD contracts and modifications.
• Analyze resources/time needed to support clients.
• Perform financial modeling and analysis (client profitability, resource estimation, financial projections/actuals).
• Review, approve, and manage Sawdey MSD employee time entries and timecards; train employees on time entry/timecards.
• Support reconciliation/allocation of Sawdey MSD expenditures.
• Support MSD business development activities (pricing/proposal preparation, coordination for events, industry research, prospective client outreach).
• Respond to requests for quote/bid.
• Support records management and maintenance of Sawdey MSD SharePoint sites.
• Assist with paying vendor/partner invoices.
• Support risk management processes (identifying risks, vendor due diligence).
• Prepare internal and external briefs.
• Evaluate and recommend changes for MSD operational optimization, including leveraging AI.
• Support project management-related activities.
• Assist with asset/inventory management for Sawdey and clients.
• Assist with handling incoming client or vendor calls.
• Assist with interviewing MSD Operations Team candidates and oversee MSD Operations Interns.
• Mentor fellow Sawdey MSD team members.
• Understand and adhere to Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements.
• May assist with proposal development; may perform other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
• 0 to 6 years of experience in finance, operational analysis, program management, procurement, or a related field.
• If zero years of experience, a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or related field is required.
• Experience reviewing time entries and timecards is preferred.
• Experience using Excel and pivot tables for financial analysis is preferred.
• Experience interacting with vendors/distributors and making payments to vendors is preferred.
• Experience reconciling expense purchases is preferred.
Education Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Finance, or Operations (or related field) is preferred; if zero years of experience, a related bachelor's degree is required.

• Effective communication with customers and ability to fulfill duties listed in the contract.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to communicate and collaborate professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Accurate daily time entry for all tasks.
• Ability to articulate technical information to non-technical people.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Ability to use a personal smartphone for job-related tasks as needed (phone calls not required; calls are made via Microsoft Teams extension).
Background Check & Citizenship
• Must be able to pass a favorable background check.
• U.S. citizenship is required to comply with CMMC requirements and government contracts.
