About Us

School of Bots is an Instagram direct message (DM) automation agency. We build ManyChat funnel systems for personal brand creators — coaches, course creators, and influencers — who generate leads and sales through automated Instagram DM conversations.

Our clients are high-profile personal brands doing $1M+ per year. They expect excellent work, delivered on time, every time.

The Role

We're looking for a part-time, on-call copywriter to support our team.

Our lead copywriter is excellent and has been with us for years. We're not replacing her. We want a skilled writer who can step in when needed, learn our systems inside and out, and grow with us over time.

Right now this is an on-call, as-needed role. As we scale, the hours will grow — and this person has a clear path to becoming a full team member.

We will pay for your training. We want you to learn everything: our playbooks, our SOPs, our AI workflows. If you're willing to put in the effort to learn, we're committed to building a long-term relationship with you.

What Makes This Different

DM automation copywriting is its own skill. It is not like writing emails or blog posts.

You are writing short, conversational messages that feel like real texts from a real person. Your job is to turn a comment or a reply into a conversation — and that conversation into a lead or a sale.

Every message has to feel native to Instagram. That means knowing how people actually talk in DMs, what sounds like a real creator, and what sounds like a marketing bot.

This is a different kind of copywriting. It's a skill worth learning.

What You'll Do

Write DM funnel sequences for ManyChat — including free download funnels, webinar funnels, call booking funnels, direct purchase funnels, and more

Match each client's voice so their audience feels like they're talking to the creator — not an agency

Write story text overlays, email sequences, and landing page copy as needed

Run your own copy through our 28-point quality checklist before submitting

Work within our frameworks — every funnel type has a playbook and you follow it

Use AI tools as part of your workflow (we'll train you on this)

Who We Serve

Personal brand creators: fitness coaches, business coaches, educators, and influencers. Most have 100,000+ Instagram followers and are generating significant revenue. They are trusting us with their audience — and we take that seriously.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

Strong conversational writing skills — you write like a human, not a marketer

Deep understanding of Instagram culture — you use the platform, you know how it works

Genuine interest in AI tools and excited to learn how to use them in your work

Detail-oriented and reliable — if you say you'll do something, you do it

Available Monday through Friday with overlap during Eastern Standard Time hours

Willing to learn a completely new system — training is paid, but you have to show up for it

Nice to have:

Experience with ManyChat or any chatbot or DM automation platform

Background writing for coaches, course creators, or personal brands

Experience writing in someone else's voice (voice matching)

Any exposure to DM funnel copy, chat copy, or conversational marketing copy
