In this vital role you will will provide administrative support to the Intellectual Property Litigation team.The successful candidate will provide support to the Intellectual Property Litigation team by assisting and supporting our litigation teams in the U.S. and global intellectual property litigations, including maintaining electronic databases. Candidate will also draft correspondence, e-mails, engagement letters with outside counsel; obtain references, case law, patents, file histories; organize materials, etc. The work assignments are sometimes complex in nature and require absolute discretion, as well as considerable tact, judgment, creativity, and initiative. The Candidate must be able to manage several priorities in a continually changing environment.Key responsibilities include:
- Scheduling meetings and managing logistics and performing key tasks for a variety of meetings (meetings with outside counsel; deposition preparation; internal meetings; etc.), including registering visitors, catering, and technical assistance
- Utilizing various platforms to review invoices; maintain and retrieve pleadings, information and correspondence to ensure immediate access to information in the platforms/databases
- Effectively managing the calendar and coordinating domestic and international travel
- Reviewing, prioritizing, and flagging high priority communications (e-mails and documentation) for a timely and appropriate response
- Making connections and establishing relationships across functions
- PowerPoint presentation and preparation; word processing; copying; scanning; and utilizing on-line services (document orders, shipping, office supplies, etc.)
- Timely and efficient processing of expense reports
- Backing up other administrative coordinators when they are out of the office
- Interacting with U.S. and global litigation counsel and support staff
- Recent litigation experience in a law firm or corporate law department
- Patent prosecution experience
- 3+ years of experience in a law firm
- Exceptional communication skills – oral and written
- Excellent time management and project management skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and manage several projects simultaneously
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Resourceful, creative, flexible and team player
- Must be within a “commutable distance to our Amgen Thousand Oaks Campus” but we are operating under Flexspace.

Expected salary: $75232 - 105762 per year
