Performance Tester – Aviation & Mission-Critical Systems

For one of our clients, RSB Automotive Consulting is looking for a Performance Tester to join a team working on advanced, data-driven platforms in the aviation and mission-critical domain. The environment is focused on high-complexity systems supporting large-scale, global operations where performance, stability, and reliability are absolutely critical. The solutions are used in domains similar to aviation and transportation ecosystems, where system behavior under peak load directly impacts real-world operational outcomes.

The team operates in an agile, engineering-focused setup, working across multiple countries in a distributed delivery model. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep technical analysis, performance engineering, and ensuring systems are fully ready for production-scale usage. The position is fully remote within the EMEA region, with flexible cooperation under B2B or UoP.

Role Overview
As a Senior Performance Tester, you will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive performance engineering strategies for complex distributed systems. Your focus will be on ensuring scalability, stability, and readiness under real-world and peak-load conditions. You will act as a key quality gate for system performance, supporting engineering decisions with data-driven insights and technical analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute performance, load, stress, spike, and endurance testing strategies using LoadRunner

Analyze system behavior under load and identify performance bottlenecks across application and infrastructure layers

Develop and maintain performance test scripts and scenarios

Use Python for automation, test data preparation, result analysis, and tooling development

Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and DevOps engineers to resolve performance issues

Define performance benchmarks, SLAs, and acceptance criteria for system readiness

Analyze and interpret test results, delivering clear and actionable performance reports

Support capacity planning and scalability assessments for production systems

Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines where applicable

Participate in architecture and design reviews from a performance engineering perspective

Continuously improve performance testing methodologies, tools, and practices

Requirements
Experience in aviation, transportation, or mission-critical systems

5+ years of experience in performance testing / non-functional testing roles

Strong hands-on experience with LoadRunner

Solid understanding of performance testing methodologies (load, stress, spike, endurance)

Experience analyzing system, application, and infrastructure performance

Practical experience with Python for scripting, automation, or data analysis

Understanding of web-based, API-driven, and distributed systems

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Very good English communication skills in international teams

Nice to Have
Exposure to large-scale distributed systems and capacity planning

Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines

Background in data-intensive environments
