Platform Engineer
Booz Allen Hamilton is a company focused on harnessing cloud capabilities to meet client needs. As a Platform Engineer, you will develop and manage container platforms, ensuring seamless orchestration and supporting the adoption of cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client’s needs
- Develop container management software to solve some of our clients’ toughest challenges
- Use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change
- Grow your skills using the latest cloud technologies
- Improve your client’s environment with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration
- Support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process
- Recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers
- Gain DevOps skills and experience while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms
Skills
- Experience in the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies such as Crossplane, Helm, and Terraform
- Experience using active learning and analytical thinking within a collaborative team environment
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
- Ability to build, manage, and secure containers
- Public Trust
- HS diploma or GED
- Experience with Amazon Web Services
- Experience with Containerization technologies, such as Docker
- Experience with CICD Pipeline Technologies, such as Harness, Drone, or Jenkins
- Experience building a developer portal, such as Backstage
- Experience with Node.js and React for building web applications
- Experience with open-source frameworks for logging and monitoring, including OpenSearch, Prometheus, and Grafana
