RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Summary:

 
The Population Health Strategist reports directly to the VP of Strategic Consulting and supports Vital Incite’s mission by using specialized knowledge and skills obtained through education, experience, training and/or certification to service, manage, and advise clients with population health and wellness strategies. The Population Health Strategist will provide oversight and direction of the programs, people, activities, communications and/or vendor solutions to achieve established wellness goals. The position involves extensive research and ongoing analysis of the target community and vendor options as well as strong communication skills and attention to details. The goal is to help employers achieve their medical spend and/or health goals.   

 
Essential Responsibilities:

Overseeing and consulting on Population Health objectives for assigned clients

Ensuring overall satisfaction of each client, including managing appropriate client expectations  

Identifying results in the clients’ data that illustrate the impact of programs, as well as trends in healthcare utilization, and presenting them in a format that motivates employers towards improved outcomes 

Understanding and reporting on all programs in place for each employer group

Providing in-depth research as requested from clients to establish objective strategies

Understanding all available vendor options, as well as presenting suggestions to employers for vendor options as they relate to biometric screening, health coaching, onsite education, disease management, social determinants of health, and pending population health needs 

Assisting employers, or advisors, to ensure the correct data is received for appropriate reporting 

Suggesting potential next steps and goals for each employer group

Educating the advisor, or employer, on the meaning of the population health reports 

Working with data team to determine new reporting needs and fulfilling requests for ad hoc reports

Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor’s degree required with a concentration in Public Health, Social, Biology Biomedical, Health Sciences or related medical discipline is desired 
 
Experience:
Minimum three (3) years of clinical and managerial experience working in a healthcare system or managed care organization
Demonstrated experience in the design, management, and execution of corporate wellness programs
Demonstrates a complete understanding and ability to run reports independently
Experience in developing, overseeing, and managing employer health and wellness programs  
Experience in public health communications
Experience in public speaking and presentation of reports
 
Skills:
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong communication skills, written and written
Excellent Microsoft computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) 
Works well both independently or as part of a team
Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; an individual who can professionally and positively impact both internal, as well as external clients and customers
Passion for Vital Incite's mission and ongoing commitment to outstanding customer service

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Compensation:Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000 per year
