The Procurement & Purchasing Data Analyst will partner with Procurement, Finance and Insights to ensure customer and PerkinElmer data is complete, accurate, and accessible. This role has a specific focus on contract intelligence, vendor performance, and procurement decision support - translating operational data from OneSource and ServiceMax into actionable insights that drive smarter contracting decisions. The Data Analyst duties include collaborating with other data professionals to extract data figures, creating reports based on their findings, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to determine business initiatives’ success.

Vendor Performance & Capability Insights
Provide visibility into vendor performance beyond individual assets - analyzing trends across asset classes, sites, and regions, including response times and resolution rates

Support identification of appropriate vendors when assets are not on contract, enabling comparisons based on capability, speed of response, and repeat visit rates

Define What Good Looks Like for Contract Recommendations
Specify and maintain mandatory elements for every contract recommendation, including: contract status and entitlement, warranty position, asset criticality and utilization, failure and downtime history, and strategic supplier linkage

Contract Data Ownership & Quality
Own the contract data model linking assets, contracts, entitlements, and work orders; identify and take accountability for data quality

Maintain system linkage between contract records and operational performance data, ensuring integrity across connected platforms

Contract Decision Rules
Translate operational practice into structured decision logic covering: non-negotiable rules (warranty, regulatory), best-practice guidance (risk-based coverage), prioritisation logic (criticality vs redundancy vs cost vs uptime), and retrospective review logic to assess whether the right contract decisions have historically been made - including ad hoc vs contract spend analysis
