Product Analyst
Landis+Gyr is a global leader in energy management solutions, operating in over 30 countries and headquartered in Switzerland. As a Product Analyst, you will manage the lifecycle and support Product Managers on product strategy, including creating Product Requirement Documents and coordinating sustainment activities.
Responsibilities
- Contributes to Landis+Gyr’s New Product Introduction (NPI) process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Interprets customer requirements and translates to clear product requirements and use cases in PRDs
- Supports R&D feasibility/traceability reviews
- Works with Technical Training to develop Product Documentation and Training
- Create and maintain Product Catalog Information
- Works in partnership with Project Management Organization (PMO) to manage cost and timeline expectations
- Represent Product Management on manufacturing related initiatives and activities for roles related to hardware portfolio
- Understands market research for addressing market and/or business needs for a product, including awareness of market trends, direction and competition landscape
- Develop customer communications (e.g. Customer Information Letters, Product Updates, Release Notes)
- Ensures all parts of the organization are properly educated on product feature/functionality
- Contributes to business reviews and planning sessions
- Supports Landis+Gyr’s quality processes
- Support for industry events, internal sales meetings, Landis+Gyr’s Exchange, and customer specific meetings
- Owns the management of sustainment of existing product offerings
- Supports and adheres to Company’s core values
- Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required
- Supports and adheres to Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy
- Represents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree; preferably in engineering or computer science
- At least 0 - 3 years of relevant experience required
- A combination of education and experience may be considered
- Thorough understanding of business fundamentals – roles of various departments in the organization: marketing, sales, economics, manufacturing, business management, engineering
- Understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) and/or basic knowledge of utility space
- Basic knowledge of existing and emerging software development technologies for roles related to software portfolio
- Critical thinking, communication and analytical skills
- Agile software development process experience for roles related to software portfolio
- Understanding of marketing concepts/market research
- Superior computer skills including Microsoft Office applications for word processing, spreadsheets and presentations
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience in public speaking
- Organizational skills including prioritization, project management and resource deployment
- Ability to influence individuals and organizations not under a direct reporting relationship
- Formal Product Management training, such as Pragmatic Marketing, and/or New Product Introduction (NPI) process is desired
