Project Type:

Fixed Price

Budget:

Looking for a practical, affordable fixed-price proposal for concept design plus one simple working prototype.

Project Overview:

I am looking for a product designer / industrial designer / prototype builder to help me design and create a working non-electronic prototype of a portable cash organizer.

This is not an electronic product. I do not want:

screens

lights

apps

batteries

motors

sensors

I want a mechanical, portable, organized cash system that helps store, separate, access, and reload bills and coins by denomination in a clean and practical way.

The main goal is to create a compact portable organizer that feels premium, is easy to use, and has a simple but functional working prototype.

Core Concept:

This product should be a portable clamshell-style or similarly compact organizer that includes:

separate bill channels by denomination

separate coin channels by denomination

a mechanical slider for each bill denomination

a mechanical slider / release tab / push system for each coin denomination

easy bill reinsertion and easy coin reloading

a small erasable notes/reference section

an overall layout that is compact, portable, and smooth to use

Bill Features Needed:

The bill side is very important.

I want:

dedicated bill slots/lanes/channels for denominations

clearly labeled sections

a slider for each denomination that helps advance or present one bill at a time

bills to remain aligned and organized

a system that feels smooth and controlled, not messy

A major priority is that putting bills back in should also be easy. I do not want tight wallet sleeves that are annoying to reload. I want a design that makes reinsertion/refill simple and practical.

Coin Features Needed:

I also want:

dedicated coin channels by denomination

easy access to exact coins

a mechanical coin release system, such as a slider, push tab, or similar simple mechanism

no loose coin pouch as the main solution

clean and organized coin storage

easy coin refill/reloading

Notes / Reference Area:

I would like a small erasable writing section inside the organizer where I can write quick notes, reminders, totals, or general references.

Examples:

quick math

spending notes

conversion/general reminders

payout notes

This could be something like:

a small reusable writing panel

wet-erase style area

mini marker holder if practical

What I Need From the Freelancer:

I want someone who can help with both:

Design

product concept

internal layout

mechanical idea for bills and coins

portability-focused form factor

Prototype

one simple physical working prototype

basic but functional

enough to demonstrate the concept physically

does not need to be production-ready

Deliverables:

Please include:

concept sketches and/or CAD

internal layout/dimensions

proposed mechanical approach

one physical working prototype

photos/videos of prototype function before shipping if possible

Important Priorities:

The biggest priorities for me are:

portable design

clean denomination organization

smooth bill access

smooth coin access

easy bill reinsertion

easy coin refill

simple mechanical usability

affordable fixed-price approach

What This Is Not:

This is not:

an electronics project

a smart device

a mass-manufacturing project right now

a finished consumer product

This is a low-cost first prototype to prove the concept and get the physical organization and mechanics right.

Ideal Freelancer:

I am looking for someone with experience in:

product design

industrial design

mechanical concepts

simple prototype fabrication

organizers / storage systems / cases / physical mechanisms

Bonus if you have worked on:

slider mechanisms

coin/bill organizers

portable storage products

functional prototype builds

To Apply, Please Send:

your fixed-price quote

what is included in your price

your approach for keeping this affordable

examples of similar mechanical/product/prototype work

whether you can do both design and prototype, or only one part

Final Note:

Please keep portability in mind. I do not want something bulky like a retail cash drawer. I want something compact enough to carry in a backpack, sling, or travel bag, while still being organized and practical to use.
