Your Mission as Our First Product Manager

As the first Product Manager at Luma, you will define and shape the product management function within the company. You will have high agency to drive the product roadmap, working closely with users to understand their needs and translating those insights into impactful product solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the direction of foundational AI models by collaborating with research and engineering teams, ensuring strong product-market fit and delivering innovative features that enhance the creative process.

What You'll Create & Lead

• Define and drive the product vision and roadmap, setting the foundation for product management at Luma

  Collaborate closely with users to deeply understand their needs and translate insights into impactful product features

  Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and research to deliver high-quality product outcomes

  Assess and manage project risks to ensure realistic timelines and successful delivery

  Drive product-market fit by continuously iterating based on user feedback and data

  Act as a key communicator between stakeholders to align priorities and maintain clear project direction

  Champion innovation by exploring how AI can transform the creative process and enhance user experience

  Influence the research roadmap by integrating user insights with foundational model capabilities

  Foster a culture of curiosity and problem-solving within the product team

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience as a Product Manager, ideally with 3+ years leading product development in technology or AI-driven companies

  Strong ability to understand and translate user needs into actionable product requirements and roadmaps

  Demonstrated success in managing complex projects, including risk assessment and prioritization to meet deadlines

  Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and research

  Experience engaging directly with customers and users to gather insights and validate product decisions

  Curiosity and a thoughtful perspective on how AI can transform creative processes and product experiences

  Ability to organize and drive projects from ideation through to shipping impactful features

  Comfort working in a high-agency environment where you will define and shape the product management function

  Familiarity with foundational AI models or related technologies is a strong plus

  Track record of delivering strong product-market fit and measurable business outcomes
