Reporting To: Chief Operating Officer
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 / year

Description
Impruvon builds software and connected hardware that transforms how care teams manage medications for vulnerable populations.

Our platform replaces manual, error-prone workflows with real-time, guided systems that improve safety, reduce risk, and simplify compliance across residential care settings. We support providers across the U.S. with a multi-role platform used by administrators, caregivers, and individuals. Our solution has been proven to reduce medication errors by approximately 48%, directly impacting the safety of individuals in IDD group homes and assisted living facilities.

We are solving complex, high-impact problems in healthcare where reliability, usability, and operational workflows matter.

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Specialist to help drive product execution, workflow validation, and cross-functional coordination across our platform.

This role sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Operations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to understand workflows, gather requirements, document feature requests, validate functionality, and help ensure successful delivery of product enhancements and fixes.

You will serve as a product and workflow expert, helping translate operational and clinical needs into clearly defined requirements that engineering teams can effectively implement. You will also play a key role in backlog refinement, user acceptance testing (UAT), release readiness, and ensuring that customer feedback and product requests are properly tracked and communicated.

This is a highly collaborative role in a fast-moving healthcare technology environment where attention to detail, communication, and operational understanding are critical.

Key Responsibilities
Product Coordination & Requirements Gathering

Work closely with Customer Success, Operations, customers, and internal stakeholders to understand product feedback, workflow challenges, and enhancement requests

Document feature requests, bugs, workflows, and requirements clearly within Jira and related systems

Assist with backlog refinement, prioritization discussions, and ticket organization

Help define acceptance criteria and expected workflow behavior for new features and enhancements

Partner closely with Product leadership and Subject Matter Experts to ensure feature requests align with customer needs and product strategy

Engineering Collaboration & Workflow Support

Serve as a day-to-day resource for Engineering by answering workflow, product behavior, and operational questions

Participate regularly in engineering discussions, sprint activities, and product reviews

Ensure requirements, edge cases, and workflow expectations are properly communicated during development

Help identify gaps, inconsistencies, or risks during implementation

Track bugs and feature requests through resolution to help ensure issues are properly communicated and nothing falls through the cracks

User Acceptance Testing & Release Readiness

Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes

Validate that delivered functionality aligns with documented requirements and real-world workflows

Assist with release coordination, internal communication, and readiness activities across Customer Success and Operations teams

Document testing outcomes, identified issues, and feedback for Engineering follow-up

Customer & Workflow Expertise

Develop deep expertise in Impruvon workflows, operational processes, and customer use cases

Participate in customer discussions and workflow reviews to better understand operational needs and product fit

Help evaluate the impact, reach, and urgency of feature requests and workflow enhancements

Contribute to continuous product improvement through customer insight, workflow analysis, and operational feedback

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Requirements

3+ years of experience in Product Operations, Business Analysis, Product Support, Healthcare Operations, Customer Success, or similar roles within a SaaS or healthcare technology environment, or equivalent hands-on experience using and supporting workflow-heavy healthcare or medication management platforms in operational care settings

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and follow-through across competing priorities

Experience documenting requirements, workflows, bugs, or feature requests within systems such as Jira, Confluence, or similar tools

Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams

Strong attention to detail and ability to think through operational workflows and edge cases

Ability to work closely with Engineering teams to clarify requirements and validate delivered functionality

Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly collaborative startup environment

Ability to balance tactical execution with broader operational and product context

Nice to Have

Experience in healthcare, IDD services, assisted living, long-term care, or medication management workflows

Experience performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) or QA validation

Familiarity with healthcare compliance and operational workflows

Experience working directly with customers to gather feedback and understand operational challenges

Experience supporting workflow-heavy or operationally complex software platforms

What Success Looks Like

Feature requests and bugs are clearly documented, actionable, appropriately detailed, and effectively communicated across teams to support accurate assessment, prioritization, and implementation

Engineering receives timely clarification and workflow guidance that reduces ambiguity and rework

User Acceptance Testing is thorough, organized, and aligned with real-world customer workflows

Product releases are well-coordinated and communicated internally

Customer feedback and operational insights are consistently captured and incorporated into product discussions

You become a trusted internal resource for product workflows, customer use cases, and operational understanding
