Key Responsibilities: Driving Student Success

  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and assessment of service and leadership programs in a collaborative and inclusive environment, including days of service, immersive experiences, workshops, and student leader training.
  • Advise and support student programs, such as the Penn State Alternative Breaks program, Martin Luther King commemorative committee, student awards, and other programming coordinated by the office.
  • Assist with coordinating and staffing programs hosted by Student Leadership and Involvement, representing the office at various committees and events.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, faculty, and staff to promote student learning and development.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive excellence, community engagement, and the holistic development of students.

Essential Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong facilitation, program planning, and advising skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A willingness and ability to work flexible hours to support night and weekend activities.
  • A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check may be required.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

Penn State University offers a competitive compensation package, including:

  • A salary range of $46,400 - $67,300.
