Quality Assurance Analyst II– IT EHR Security and Testing

Work location: Texas Health Resources, 612 E Lamar Blvd, Arlington, Texas 76011
(Primarily Remote)
Work hours: Full Time Days (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm) for 40 hrs/week. (Participation in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support required)

Here’s What You Need
Education
·       Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field. 4 Years Relevant experience in lieu of a degree. (Required)
 
Experience
·       2 Years Related IS experience. Experience in healthcare preferred. (Required)
·       Experience in QA/testing with a focus on automation (Preferred)
·       Experience in healthcare IT systems, preferably Epic or EHR environments (Preferred)
·       Familiarity with interface testing (HL7, APIs, Corepoint, etc.) (Preferred)
·       Experience with automation tools (e.g., Eggplant, Power Automate, UFT, etc.) (Preferred)
·       Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) (Preferred)
 
What You Will Do
Testing
·       Conducts product testing with both internal and external customer to ensure accuracy and completeness while mentoring/assisting others.
·       Develops initial test plans and scripts for use within the Development stage of the project while working independently.
·       Developing complete and accurate structured system acceptance test plans while mentoring/assisting others.
·       Executes testing and documents the results while mentoring/assisting others.
·       Evaluates test results and identify what type of issue is involved while working independently.
·       Coordinates testing plans and schedules that include testing tasks, resources, testing milestones, and review points.
·       Communicates this information to team members while working independently.
·       Develop and maintain test sites associated with projects while working independently.
·       Proficient using the system testing tools, while mentoring/assisting others. General Support
·       Is familiar with and follows the ITS Change Management process working independently.
·       Developing/updating appropriate Service Desk documentation for change while mentoring/assisting others.
·       Being familiar with and following ITS EPM Process and tools working independently.
·       Being the customer advocate to the development team during project life cycle, while mentoring/assisting others.
·       Coordinates procedure and/or data movement from development to the test/education and production regions with programming staff while mentoring/assisting others.
·       Participates in prototyping and design review with customers and development team while mentoring/assisting others.
·       Assists development team in evaluating customer reported errors while mentoring/assisting others.
·       Aids in the development of project implementation communication to customers identifying key changes and their functionality while mentoring/assisting others.
·       Provide accurate project resource estimates and dates for testing tasks with general supervision.
·       Evaluate software and related technologies and makes appropriate recommendations with general supervision.
·       Maintain system documentation and knowledge base in regards to customer reported issues with updated solutions while mentoring/assisting others.

·       Shares work experiences and expertise with others, providing technical guidance and/or business knowledge and direction to project team members with occasional supervision.
·       Demonstrates knowledge of multiple systems and their integration with occasional supervision.

·       Strives to improve technical knowledge with occasional supervision.
·       Monitors industry trends for applicability, evaluating software, related technologies and processes for recommendations, with occasional supervision.

·       Prioritizes work appropriately, carrying out assignments with the appropriate level of direction and completing tasks within deadlines working independently.
·       Monitors work progress, informing team leaders, team managers and/or customers of project status, problems or obstacles and workload problems in a timely manner with little or no supervision.
·       Providing timely and accurate status reports with little or no supervision.
·       Enters work time appropriately and timely into applicable system and tasks with little or no supervision.
·       Participates in special projects and/or performs other duties as assigned.
