React / React Native Developer (Philippines)

About the Role  

We are a growing startup building modern, user‑centric web and mobile applications. We’re looking for a React / React Native Developer who enjoys building products from the ground up, cares about clean and maintainable code, and thrives in a fast‑moving environment. Experience working with or integrating AI‑powered solutions into web or mobile applications is a strong plus, but not a requirement.

Responsibilities 

Design, build, and maintain web applications using React 

Develop and maintain cross‑platform mobile applications using React Native 

Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers 

Translate product requirements and designs into high‑quality, scalable features 

Integrate APIs and backend services into frontend and mobile apps 

Ensure performance, reliability, and quality across devices and platforms 

Write clean, reusable, and well‑documented code 

Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical decisions 

Identify and fix bugs, performance issues, and edge cases 

Continuously improve the codebase and development workflows 

Requirements 

Strong experience with JavaScript (ES6+) 

Hands‑on experience with React.js 

Experience developing mobile applications using React Native 

Familiarity with TypeScript 

Experience working with REST APIs and/or GraphQL 

Solid understanding of component‑based architecture and state management 

Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows 

Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail 

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving startup environment 

Nice to Have 

Experience building or integrating AI‑driven features in web or mobile apps 
(e.g. chat interfaces, AI search, recommendations, content generation) 

Experience using AI or ML APIs such as OpenAI, Azure AI, or similar platforms 

Backend experience with Node.js, Firebase, Supabase, or similar 

Experience with testing frameworks and automated testing 

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes 

Prior experience working at a startup or on early‑stage products
