Job Summary: 

The position of Service Sales Manager – West Coast & Canada Region will require the candidate to actively promote and sell aftermarket service to various large industrial customers.  The region consists of Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, & the support of Canada service sales, requiring frequent travel within the regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing alliances and managing sales representatives to promote power protection systems. They will need to effectively target and visit customers in this region in a consultative sales role.

The qualified individual will work closely with the Director USA & Canada; Service Sales for SCI and other local support staff to serve our clients and grow the business within the regions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with Client Services team to ensure customer satisfaction and help promote the aftermarket product offerings to installed customer base

Continued growth in all aftermarket services and offerings including but not limited to: Preventive and Corrective Maintenance, Training, Start Up, Spare parts, UPS/Battery Testing, Battery sales, Services and Monitoring, Multi-year service contracts

Increasing revenue and profits, improved market share, market intelligence gathering, pricing strategy and negotiation, and prospecting new applications and technologies

Business Development and Sales Plans for the region

Understand the nature of the application of our products such that you are able to present and sell to both commercial and technical decision-makers at all levels.

Maintain or exceed target margins for service sales in the region

Develop and maintain customer satisfaction through personal contact/meetings and prompt resolution of service problems

Providing quotations and work with other internal resources for scheduling/ coordinating service activities with customers.

Forecasting of sales, proper allocation of resources, and reporting activities on a weekly basis.

Able to interact with customers on various levels and in times of emergency and tense situations.

Maintain the current customer database with up-to-date information and notes detailing weekly events and opportunity advancement

Develop a strategy for winning opportunities

Follow-up on all sales opportunities in a timely manner

Follow up on quotes and secure purchase orders

Communicate the needs of customers to the company through established channels

Keep Management updated on the progress of new projects and existing accounts

Continually compile market information/intelligence to assist in the shaping of future company strategy and product development

 

Minimum Qualifications:

The Service Sales Manager must have:

7+ years of direct sales experience working in a fast-paced technological environment

2+ years sales management experience, a plus

Proven sales track record, delivering outstanding results in prior positions in a high-tech product environment

Capacity to build creative sales plans and sales initiatives, capable of having a long-term vision of the business

Proven track record in business development, particularly in acquiring new business in large accounts from scratch

Good negotiator with excellent customer relation skills.

Proficient in SalesForce

Highly motivated, self-starter with strong problem solving skills

Work with minimal supervision and manage time and tasks effectively

Consultative Sales method experience required

Servant Leadership knowledge and experience a plus

Ability to travel upwards of 50-70%.

BSEE or equivalent or equivalent technical sales experience

Must live with the Region, by a major airport hub preferred

 

Desired Qualifications:

Previous technical experience with UPS, Battery Chargers, Inverters, or other similar equipment is preferred. Strong AC/DC Power electronics and application skills, understanding of electrical drawings and schematics, possess professional demeanor and strong customer service orientation.

Proven strategic planning skills, business acumen and sales aptitude.

Work with minimal supervision and manage time and tasks efficiently

Proficient in MS Office, SalesForce.com

Multi-tasking, work in fast paced environment

Highly self-motivated/self-starter and strong problem-solving skills
