Position Overview
As a Registered Dental Assistant at Vista Community Clinic, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of dental care provided to our patients in Lake Elsinore, California. Working under the clinical guidance of the dentist and the oversight of the clinic manager, you will assist in the execution of four-handed dentistry, ensuring a seamless and efficient patient care experience while preparing patients for various dental procedures.

Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Dental Assistant, your daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Assisting the dentist chairside to facilitate streamlined procedures, which entails preparing patients, handling instruments, and anticipatory assistance during treatments.
• Coordinating the gathering and preparation of reports and documentation, ensuring patient records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Executing a variety of dental procedures, such as placing rubber dams, applying topical fluoride, and assisting in the administration of nitrous oxide in a patient-friendly manner.
• Performing x-ray procedures, ensuring proper image acquisition, processing, and organization for review by the dental team, while maintaining radiation safety protocols.
• Implementing and upholding infection control measures in accordance with established policies to create a clean and safe treatment environment for both patients and staff.
• Maintaining inventory of dental supplies and equipment, including necessary orders to ensure that all operational needs are met promptly.
• Engaging in continuous professional development, attending educational workshops, and participating in team meetings to enhance knowledge and skills crucial to dental assisting.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, the following qualifications are required:
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent vocational training.
• Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and completion of the Registered Dental Assistant Exam.
• Active certifications including Coronal Polishing, Radiation Safety, and CPR (including BLS for children and adults).
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume dental practice, demonstrating proficiency in a wide range of dental assisting procedures.
Preferred Experience
While not required, experience with electronic dental records and familiarity with various dental practice software will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Additionally, knowledge of current dental materials and technologies will be a valuable asset.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from USD 17 to 23, commensurate with experience.
