The role of Industrial/Systems Engineer involves assisting in various engineering tasks to develop knowledge and skills through practical assignments and collaboration with supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in developing functional/system analysis to define facility/system design requirements
  • Assisting in establishing the means of verifying requirements implementation, including acceptance criteria
  • Assisting in the preparation of system and facility design criteria documents
  • Supporting system-level design verification, requirements verification, test requirements specification, and requirements flow down and traceability
  • Assisting in the preparation of assessments to validate and verify implementation and traceability of requirements into design
  • Participating in technical discussions to resolve system design issues
  • Researching and documenting system operations and limits from the review of design and basis documents and from discussions with system designers
  • Performing model-based systems engineering using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) automation tools (e.g., IBM® Rationale Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) or Innoslate by Spec Innovations)

Skills

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering from an accredited college or university within the past twelve (12) months or upcoming twelve (12) months
  • Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites
  • Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Member of the International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE)
  • Prior co-op or internship experience
  • Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
