Opportunity Snapshot:

 

Compensation:  $48.00/hour

Location:  Spring, TX

Assignment Duration: 12 months+

Work Schedule: 14/14 days and nights alternating

Responsibilities

Monitor and control thousands of producing artificial lift wells/compressor units across multiple assets and fields

Perform real‑time surveillance of artificial lift systems, identifying early indicators of abnormal operation or failure

Independently adjust operating parameters (e.g., speed, cycles, control setpoints) to balance: production optimization, equipment protection & run life, operating limits and safety constraints

Diagnose equipment performance issues using live and trended data

Execute predefined alarm response actions and determine appropriate escalation paths

Make rapid, risk‑based decisions regarding immediate intervention, continued monitoring, field dispatch or engineering notification

Prevent high‑cost failures through early detection and proactive intervention

Reduce unnecessary field callouts, lowering exposure to driving and location‑based hazards

Maintain accurate documentation, event logging, and shift handovers

Coordinate effectively with field operations, engineering, production, and automation teams

 

Qualifications

Minimum Required Experience (Low‑Risk Performance)
2–5 years of direct artificial lift OR compressor operations experience

Artificial Lift System Knowledge: ESP, Gas Lift, GAPL, Plunger Lift, Surface and downhole components, controllers, and VSDs, Surface-to-subsurface interaction (compressor à distribution à wells)

Compression Systems & Rotating Equipment Knowledge: Suction/discharge conditions, Staging and interstage cooling, Lube oil and seal systems

Confident use of SCADA platforms, remote control systems, and surveillance dashboards

Electrical: amps, volts, torque, power quality indicators

Mechanical: load, speed, vibration

Reservoir/production: pressure, fluid levels, pump fillage

Knowledge of inflow behavior, drawdown, gas interference, pump‑off dynamics

Understanding of safe operating envelopes, shutdown thresholds, and restart conditions

Awareness of electrical hazards, interlocks, emergency shutdown logic, and restart risks

Proficiency with all MS Office Suite programs with emphasis on Excel & Word

Knowledge of inflow behavior, drawdown, gas interference, pump‑off dynamics

Operational knowledge of SCADA systems (XSPOC) preferred

Must have High School diploma or equivalent
