Remote | Biosafety / Laboratory Operations - Senior — $105/hour

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced biosafety and laboratory operations professionals with strong practical knowledge of lab environments, containment protocols, equipment workflows, and day-to-day operational execution.

This role supports an exciting collaboration with leading AI companies focused on improving advanced AI systems through high-quality domain expertise related to laboratory operations, biosafety practices, procurement workflows, and real-world facility implementation.

Selected professionals will contribute practical insight into how laboratories operate, assess operational workflows related to equipment, containment, and procurement, apply strong judgment across biosafety-related tasks, and help improve overall model quality. This opportunity is especially well-suited to detail-oriented professionals with hands-on experience in BSL-2 or higher environments who understand the practical implementation layer of laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Operations & Implementation Insight
Provide practical insight into how labs operate on a day-to-day basis

Contribute knowledge related to facility setup, equipment workflows, and operational execution

Help ensure that outputs reflect real-world laboratory practices and operational clarity

Biosafety & Containment Evaluation
Apply knowledge of containment protocols and biosafety practices across structured tasks

Support evaluation of workflows related to laboratory safety, equipment, and operational standards

Help maintain high standards for clarity, accuracy, and applied domain judgment

Procurement & Operational Workflow Support
Contribute expertise related to laboratory equipment and procurement channels

Support tasks involving supply workflows, consumables, and operational planning

Help improve quality across domain-specific evaluation and research workflows

Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:

Experience working in a BSL-2 or higher facility

Knowledge of laboratory equipment, procurement channels, and containment protocols

Strong practical understanding of how laboratory operations function day to day

Strong analytical judgment and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
Biosafety officer certification or training, such as ABSA credentials

Hands-on procurement and supply chain experience for lab consumables and equipment

Understanding of biosafety failure modes and incident response

Experience with institutional biosafety committees (IBC) or regulatory compliance

Hourly compensation of $105 per hour

Experience In a BSL-2 Or Higher Facility Required
U.S. person currently located in a Five Eyes country required

Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on project needs and performance

Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise

Work will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution
