They are seeking a Conflicts Analyst who will support new business intake and attorney onboarding by resolving conflicts of interest, ensuring compliance with firm policies and ethical rules.

Responsibilities

  • Process conflicts searches and new business intake requests with a goal of 15–20 per day
  • Conduct research and cross-reference attorney, client, and matter information
  • Review and report potential conflicts of interest, providing recommendations where needed
  • Ensure accurate and consistent documentation for new matters and client engagements
  • Assist with attorney onboarding by running pre-employment conflicts checks and helping resolve issues before start dates
  • Collaborate with HR and legal teams to ensure compliance requirements are met prior to hire
  • Run and review Westlaw Due Diligence reports as part of the intake process
  • Track compliance documentation including conflict waivers, engagement letters, outside counsel guidelines, and billing agreements
  • Respond to workflow requests and inquiries from attorneys and staff
  • Maintain accurate records and follow firm policies to support ethical compliance
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as needed

Skills

  • A combination of legal experience and education that has prepared you for work in conflicts, compliance, or corporate research
  • 1–2 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or law firm environment
  • Familiarity with legal ethics, due diligence, and compliance concepts
  • Experience with automated conflict-checking systems and corporate research tools
  • Confidence working in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A sharp eye for detail and the ability to think through issues logically and independently
  • Strong organizational habits — you're someone who can balance multiple priorities with ease
  • A collaborative spirit, openness to learning, and adaptability in a fast-paced setting
