[Remote] Junior Ad Creative Strategist - D2C/Ecom (Performance Advertising)

Neon Growth is focused on performance advertising for direct-to-consumer ecommerce brands, and they are seeking a Junior Ad Creative Strategist. The role involves generating ideas, preparing briefs, and organizing ad concepts while collaborating closely with a senior Creative Director and an in-house design team.
Responsibilities
- Produce a high weekly volume of direct response ad concepts (hooks, angles, scripts)
- Write UGC-style scripts and ad copy for short-form video ads (Meta, TikTok, Snap)
- Generate variations intentionally across angles (benefits, objections, proof, desire)
- Adapt to different brand tones and product categories
- Study top-performing competitor ads daily
- Identify repeatable creative patterns (hooks, pacing, framing)
- Maintain swipe files and structured references
- Review creative performance data and summarize learnings clearly
- Identify which hooks, angles, and formats are working - and why
- Turn performance data into next-week creative recommendations
- Submit work for review to the Creative Director
- Iterate quickly based on direct feedback
- Improve quality and speed over time
Skills
- 0-3 years experience in performance ads, ecommerce marketing, or content creation
- Strong interest in ads, especially short-form video and paid social
- Comfortable writing concise, punchy copy
- Analytical enough to explain why something worked
- Organized and reliable under weekly deadlines
- High personal output & accountability
- Strong innate curiosity (especially about ads)
- Improvement mindset (learn > optimize > level up)
- Comfort with critique, self-correction and iteration
- Ability to learn fast and operate fast
- Bias toward fast progress & launching ideas over perfection
- Experience at an agency or high-growth brand is a plus, but not a requirement
