[Remote] NJ Litigation Associate Attorney
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Rubin & Rothman, LLC is a Suffolk County plaintiff creditor's rights law firm seeking a litigation associate based in New Jersey. The attorney will actively litigate cases, attend court appearances, manage a caseload, and develop litigation strategies to lead matters to resolution.
Responsibilities
- Daily court appearances both in-person and virtual for conferences, motions and other matters on the courts’ calendars
- Responsible for managing a caseload and assignments of litigated and non-litigated claims
- Develop and implement litigation strategy, review and approve pleadings, discovery, motion practice, settlement agreements and other hands-on drafting related to the firm’s practice
- Work directly with firm senior management and firm clients to lead matters to positive resolution
- Partner with firm paralegal and support staff in producing and responding to legal demands
Skills
- J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
- Admitted to and in good standing with NJ bar
- Self-directed professional with attention to detail and ability to manage workload and prioritize appropriately
- This position requires regular travel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish trusted partnerships with internal and external clients
- Ability to work as a team player and with collaborative assignments
- Ability to maintain confidential information and acceptable standards of office and professional conduct
- Bar (Required)
- Previous litigation or creditor's rights experience is preferred but not required
- Additional bar admissions a plus
- Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred)
