RPG Consultants is a family-owned retirement planning firm based in Long Island, NY, seeking a motivated individual for an entry-level Retirement Plan Support Associate position. The role involves servicing clients in retirement plan administration and providing operational support while ensuring clients understand their plans.

Responsibilities

  • Service existing and new clients in retirement plan administration, including a full range of administrative and operational support services to various clients and plan participants
  • Effectively explain plan designs, policies, and procedures; and address questions to ensure our clients fully understand their individualized plans via phone and email
  • Process and track retirement plan distribution requests for defined contribution plans
  • Research and resolve distribution and technical issues
  • Process and track retirement plan contributions and deposits for defined contribution plans
  • Troubleshoot problems encountered in day-to-day operations
  • Maintain the participant/sponsor/advisor web portals and corresponding login credentials
  • Provide reports and data files to clients and internal teams when necessary
  • Complete special projects and reports, as assigned, accurately and timely

Skills

  • An undergraduate degree from a 4-year college required
  • Candidates with a degree in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Math or similar fields are useful in this role
  • Customer support experience through phone and e-mail is required
  • Exceptional written, oral and interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively interface with clients
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Meticulous attention to detail is vital for this position
  • Desire to function as part of a team with the ability to self-motivate to meet client demands
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidates who have experience with FIS Relius, PensionPro Workflow, M-Files, and Microsoft Teams are encouraged to apply
  • Bilingual skills are preferred but not required
