[Remote] Solutions Engineer Embedded Software

The Solutions Engineer Embedded Software will design, develop, and deliver custom software and FPGA-based solutions for advanced test and measurement applications, collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to define requirements and propose scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver custom software and FPGA-based solutions for advanced test and measurement applications
• Build automation frameworks, instrument control layers, and data processing tools across Keysight platforms
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional engineering teams (hardware, FPGA, firmware, RF, and systems) to define requirements and propose scalable, maintainable solutions
• Debug and optimize FPGA designs using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog; stay current with FPGA technologies, tools, and best practices
• Contribute to technical documentation, solution proposals, and Statements of Work (SOWs) to support project delivery and commissioning
• Seek out and take initiative on opportunities to continuously improve processes, best practices, and enhance customer experience

Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field
• Hands-on experience with FPGA design and software programming; familiarity with toolchains (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus)
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, and scripting languages; experience with version control (Git)
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (C, C++, C#, Python, Perl, MATLAB)
• Familiarity with HDL languages (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, curious, and comfortable working in dynamic environments with limited direction
• Ability to present technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
• Commitment to quality and excellent attention to details
• Familiarity with Keysight TAP, SCPI and LabView programming, or automation interfaces (IVI, VISA, PyVISA) is a plus
• Experience/understanding of electronic test, measurement concepts and engineering tools is desirable
• Understanding of RF and Digital test systems and technologies is desirable
