Responsibilities
- Negotiate and process payments following department guidelines
- Assess consumer financial condition through thorough inquiries
- Identify reasons for delinquency and develop solutions
- Track and maintain customer accounts throughout the collection process
- Perform account maintenance including reviews, reconciling aging, verifying balances, applying payments, and updating accounts in compliance with policies
- Adhere to State and Federal regulations related to collections
- Meet corporate standards for call quality assurance and structure
Skills
- Outgoing, assertive, competitive, and persuasive
- Comfortable interacting with the public
- Possess or able to acquire strong negotiation skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to document accurately in computer systems during calls
- Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- High school diploma required
- For remote work: broadband internet connection, hard wired (no Wi-Fi or hotspots), with minimum 25 mbps download and 20 mbps upload speeds
