Labcorp is a leading healthcare company, and they are seeking a Customer Service Support Representative for their Women’s Health - Every Mom Pledge team. This role involves providing assistance to patients and clients regarding health insurance coverage, payment options, and billing inquiries in a fast-paced, high call volume environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work in a high call volume environment (averaging ~75 calls per day)
  • Ability to research and communicate complex information in a clear/concise manner
  • Ability to navigate and work in multiple systems/websites simultaneously
  • Provide assistance to prospective clients and patients regarding any questions or inquiries related to insurance coverage and financial responsibilities
  • Receive and process credit card payments over the phone adhering to PCI compliance protocol
  • Document telephone conversations clearly and accurately in the respective systems
  • Update and maintain records in the billing system, including the review of accounts, payment collections and case notes
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines/regulations
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

  • Ability to follow established program protocols and procedures
  • Ability to review large amounts of data for accuracy
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented
  • Computer proficiency - MS Windows, MS Office, and database experience
  • Ability to work the following schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm PST, 10:30am-7:00pm (EST) and 9:30am-6:00pm CST
  • Associates degree with at least 1+ year prior relevant work experience OR High School diploma/GED equivalent with at least 3 +years of relevant work experience
  • Professionally fluent and proficient in both English/Spanish desired
  • 5 plus years of experience in the specialty testing/genetics customer service preferred
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Knowledge of professional medical billing and collection practices preferred
  • Previous customer service experience handling high call volume preferred
  • Medicare/Medicaid billing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes highly preferred
  • Experience with Laboratory Billing and Laboratory Information System (LIS) desired
  • XIFIN experience preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirable
