Renewable Energy - Project Engineer
SGC Engineering LLC is seeking a passionate and skilled Project Engineer to join their expanding utility consulting and renewable energy services team. In this role, you’ll lead high-voltage electrical projects, collaborating with major players in the energy industry to drive the shift toward a cleaner energy future.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering services related to Solar, Wind and Battery Storage projects
- Develop drawing packages for high and medium voltage applications
- Participate in preparing proposals for associated scope
- Field work and investigations as needed
- Review and understand client specific standards and requirements
- Prepare deliverables with the objective of delivering on-time and under-budget
- Communication with department manager and project team
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology required (Electrical, Civil, Structural, Mechanical)
- 0-3+ years of experience in an engineering consulting firm or other related work environment
- Successful passing of the FE exam is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite is required
- Must successfully complete drug screening and background check, including 7-year criminal history check and Motor Vehicle Record check
- Valid driver's license required
- Experience with electric utility or renewable energy projects preferred
- AutoCAD experience is a plus
