Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, fax, or other communication methods, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Assess the nature of customer issues and determine whether they can be resolved within the customer service team's authority, escalating complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate department as needed.
  • Resolve inquiries related to underwriting, claims, accounting, and marketing, within designated guidelines, and maintain accurate records of all customer interactions.
  • Support administrative tasks such as folding and assembling renewal mailings as needed, and perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming environment by greeting and assisting visitors, monitoring building access (if assigned to front-desk duties), and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, with a willingness to learn property and casualty insurance terminology and processes.
  • Proven ability to deliver effective customer service, with previous experience in a customer-facing role preferred.
  • Proficiency with communication tools, software, and standard office equipment, including the ability to operate a computer for extended periods and move work materials weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a professional office environment, with a commitment to maintaining a positive and respectful attitude in all interactions.
