Safety & Compliance Consultant

Job Overview

We are seeking a part-time Safety & Compliance Consultant to support our organization with safety-related guidance and regulatory awareness.

This is a paid position within our team, focused on contributing to internal initiatives related to commercial driving operations and compliance.

The role involves sharing real-world insights on topics such as roadside inspections, safety practices, and regulatory standards, based on prior professional experience.

You will contribute through a combination of:
• In-person discussions (Los Angeles area)
• Recorded internal content
• Occasional team workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions

This is an ideal opportunity for a retired police officer, CHP officer, or safety professional who wants to apply their experience in a flexible consulting role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide insights related to safety practices and compliance procedures
• Support internal discussions on regulatory standards and enforcement scenarios
• Share real-world experience related to inspections and safety practices
• Assist in developing internal reference materials
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions with team members

Requirements:
• Must be based in the United States (Los Angeles area preferred)
• Background in one of the following:
• Law enforcement (police, highway patrol, traffic division)
• Commercial vehicle enforcement or DOT-related inspections
• Transportation safety or regulatory environments
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Comfortable sharing insights in group settings or recorded format
• Ability to work independently in a flexible arrangement

Preferred (Not Required):
• Retired or former CHP (California Highway Patrol)
• Experience with commercial vehicle inspections
• Familiarity with CDL-related regulations or FMCSA standards
• Bilingual (English + Mandarin or Spanish)
• Prior experience sharing knowledge, presenting, or mentoring

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
