Sales Development Manager Surgery GYN / URO – Middle of Sweden

Gynecology (GYN) and Urology (URO) are key surgical specialties covering procedures across the female/male reproductive system and the urinary tract. The segment is characterized by a fast-evolving clinical environment with a strong focus on improving patient outcomes.

Procedures are performed using open, laparoscopic, and robotic-assisted techniques, creating a continuous demand for advanced solutions in energy, wound closure, and hemostatics. Success in this segment requires strong clinical understanding, effective collaboration, and the ability to build long-term partnerships with healthcare stakeholders.

We are looking for a Sales Development Manager for our Medical Devices business segment in Sweden, with a clear focus on the GYN/URO segment. This is a field-based position reporting to the Sales Manager. As Sales Development Manager (SDM), you will have market responsibility to drive growth within Gynecology and Urology by identifying opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and establishing Johnson & Johnson’s portfolio within energy, wound closure, and hemostatics.

You will use your clinical and commercial expertise to support adoption and long-term integration of our products in clinical practice. The role requires development and execution of regional strategies aimed at increasing market share, strengthening customer partnerships, and contributing to improved patient outcomes within GYN/URO. You will play a key role in building trust with key stakeholders and positioning Johnson & Johnson as a long-term partner in this segment.

You will collaborate closely with Area Account Managers (AAMs), participating in clinical meetings, educational initiatives, and New Product Introductions, ensuring successful implementation and sustainable growth aligned with Johnson & Johnson’s vision and values.

Objectives of the Position

As a Sales Development Manager, you will operate independently and collaboratively with your team across the following areas:

Drive growth and identify new business opportunities within Gynecology and Urology

Develop value propositions within identified areas in collaboration with Marketing

Build, develop, and maintain strong long-term relationships with key stakeholders

Establish and strengthen the adoption of Johnson & Johnson’s portfolio within energy, wound closure, and hemostatics

Develop and execute strategic account plans together with Sales Managers, Marketing, AAMs and cross-functional teams

Create and expand a strong customer network including surgeons, nurses, purchasers, and hospital administration

Act as a trusted partner by understanding clinical needs and aligning solutions accordingly

Lead and support educational initiatives, product training, and clinical discussions within GYN/URO

Support onboarding and continuous development of AAMs and new hires together with Sales Manager and Product Manager

Contribute to successful New Product Introductions with a focus on long-term adoption and profitability

Qualifications
Based in mid Sweden (Between Stockholm and Gothenburg)

Higher level educational background

Preferably more than 4 years of experience in a commercial MedTech role

Preferably strong experience within surgical environments, ideally GYN/URO

Background from healthcare sector is considered an advantage, preferably with hands-on experience within GYN and/or URO

Solid understanding of the healthcare ecosystem

Ability to travel, including approximately 2–3 nights/week away from home

Fluent in Swedish and English (spoken and written)

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

Valid European driving license

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
kr638,000.00 - kr1,026,950.00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
