Esper is a company that empowers dynamic policymaking in government. They are seeking a Sales Development Representative to drive top-of-funnel pipeline growth through prospecting and lead generation, engaging with government decision-makers to schedule product demonstrations and generate qualified opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Support 1-2 Account Executives by prospecting and scheduling product demos
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned prospect lists and expand into ancillary jurisdiction types
  • Quickly develop a thorough knowledge of Esper’s products and how they address key challenges in government policymaking and operations
  • Execute outreach campaigns and sequences created by yourself or sales management
  • Maintain a high volume of daily prospecting calls (60+ calls per day) and emails to engage potential customers
  • Establish credibility and rapport with prospects quickly to convert initial conversations into meaningful sales opportunities
  • Meet and exceed monthly quotas for scheduled demos and qualified opportunities

Skills

  • 0 - 2 years of experience working in sales, preferably within B2B SaaS or public sector technology
  • Passion for selling technology solutions that enhance government efficiency and policymaking
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Competitive and driven to succeed, with a strong ability to handle objections and remain persistent
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply industry-specific terminology and product knowledge
  • Experience using Hubspot or a comparable CRM is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Political Science, Finance, or a related field preferred
