Sales Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Consulting and Sales Support
·
Assisting Sales in prequalifying opportunities.
·
Identifies customer’s business needs, challenges, and technical requirements and maps to Telehouse Services and Solutions
·
Utilizes understanding of Telehouse products and services to help deliver presentations on Telehouse solutions
·
Provides full support - customer meetings and tours.
·
Provides technical solution design expertise to all assigned Sales account executives
·
Prepares Statement of Work (SOW) with updated technical specifications.
·
Prepares technical drawings (i.e. AutoCAD) and designs per customers’ requests
·
Supports RFI/RFP and RFQ preparation as requested by Sales Representatives
·
Develops all deliverables for the customer
·
Communicates with customers (internal and external) in a professional, friendly and effective manner, both verbally and in writing
·
Supports pre-sales efforts for all company products and services
·
Possesses a full understanding of Telehouse data center products and services as well as familiarity with Networking and Connectivity services which may be resold by Telehouse from time to time.
·
Develops or has extensive knowledge of Carrier Neutral Hotel
·
Possesses industry knowledge and familiarity with the competitive landscape
·
Possesses technical knowledge of interconnections and telecommunication services.
·
Possesses knowledges of data center infrastructures and telecommunication equipment
·
Possesses knowledges of Cloud base Network-as-a-service platform/ fabrics
·
Possesses knowledges of Clouds, Hosting and Managed Services being an asset.
·
Collaborates with internal teams to ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to post-sales
·
Acting as customer liaison for technical matters (pre/post-sales customer support)
Qualifications:
·
Typically requires a Post Secondary degree or commensurate Industry Experience along with Technical Certifications.
