Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP HCM -– Australia Payroll or US PayrollConsultant with strong expertise in Australia Payroll processing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring compliance with Australian statutory regulations, and supporting payroll-related system activities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Australia payroll or US Payroll
Perform pre-payroll validation, payroll execution, and post-payroll reconciliation
Handle retro calculations, off-cycle payments, and payroll adjustments
Ensure accurate tax calculations, statutory compliance, and filings
Post payroll results to Finance / General Ledger (GL)
Support data migration, payroll balance validation, and YTD reconciliation
Conduct parallel payroll runs, unit testing, and UAT support
Troubleshoot payroll issues and resolve discrepancies
Provide support during payroll cycles and internal/external audits
Functional Expertise (Australia Payroll)
Strong knowledge of:
PAYG (Pay As You Go) Tax
Superannuation
Payroll Tax
STP (Single Touch Payroll) Reporting
Experience handling:
Leave types and accruals
Termination payments
Award interpretation
Required Skills & Qualifications
8–9 years of experience in SAP HCM Payroll
Hands-on experience with Australia Payroll configuration and processing
Strong understanding of statutory compliance and payroll regulations in Australia
Experience in payroll testing, validation, and reconciliation processes
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently in a remote setup
Preferred Skills
Experience in payroll data migration projects
Exposure to integration with Finance/GL systems
Strong stakeholder communication skills
Or
Functional Expertise (US Payroll)
Strong knowledge of:
Federal & State taxes (FIT, FICA, FUTA, SUTA)
Tax filings such as W-2, 941
Payroll components like garnishments, benefits (401k, FSA, etc.)
Experience handling:
Multi-state payroll compliance
Tax reconciliation and reporting
Required Skills & Qualifications
8–9 years of experience in SAP HCM Payroll
Strong hands-on experience with US Payroll configuration and processing
Good understanding of US payroll statutory compliance and regulations
Experience in payroll testing, integrations, and reporting
Ability to work in US time zones (MST shift)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent stakeholder communication skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, HR, or related field
