Scrum Master

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support Agile delivery across critical projects. This is a fully remote, 4-month contract role with the potential for extension. The ideal candidate will bring strong Agile leadership, excellent facilitation skills, and a proven track record guiding cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Experience in wealth management is a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams delivering key initiatives

Facilitate all Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives)

Remove blockers and protect the team from external interruptions

Ensure consistent application of Agile principles and practices

Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile values and behaviors

Support the Product Owner in managing the backlog and prioritization

Track team performance and help drive continuous improvement

Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability

5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in enterprise environments

Solid understanding of Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum and SAFe

Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and coaching skills

Experience working with Jira or similar Agile project management tools

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice-to-Have:

Experience in the Wealth Management domain

Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)

Experience working in the Canadian banking or financial services sector
