We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be a key driver in our Accounts Payable processes, with a particular emphasis on the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle and the integration of financial systems. As a senior member of the team, you will ensure the highest level of accuracy in our financial reporting through deep accounting expertise. This is a specialized expert role focused on process excellence and financial integrity, acting as the technical backbone of the AP function.

Your position in our team
End-to-End P2P Management: Oversee and optimize the entire Procure-to-Pay process, ensuring seamless integration between procurement workflows and accounting records.

Advanced Financial Accounting: Take full ownership of the accuracy of entries. You understand exactly how every transaction impacts the P&L and Balance Sheet.

Accruals & Deferrals Mastery: Lead the month-end and year-end closing activities by proficiently handling complex accruals and deferrals to ensure proper period cutoff (HGB).

Process Integration & Automation: Collaborate with IT and other departments to refine and automate P2P workflows and financial system integrations, specifically within NetSuite.

Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all AP activities comply with internal policies and external accounting standards (HGB).

Technical Mentorship: Act as the primary technical point of contact for the team, sharing your deep knowledge of accounting principles and system logic.

Your profile
Professional Experience: At least 8 years of professional experience in Accounts Payable or General Ledger accounting with a relevant degree/certification. 

Accounting Expertise: Exceptional knowledge of HGB; expert in handling accruals, deferrals, and reconciliation of accounts. 

System Proficiency: Strong experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and P2P automation tools. 

Analytical Skills: Passion for data integrity, complex account reconciliation, and continuous process optimization. 

Languages: Fluent in English; good German skills are essential 

Soft Skills: Agile, dynamic, and resilient; comfortable in a fast-paced, global software environment
