Who We Need

We are looking for a hard-working and intellectually curious individual to join our Finance team as a Financial Accountant. You will play a key role in the Accounting & Finance department, helping to drive the monthly close process and improve financial planning & analysis. The focus of this job is to produce high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines, and procedures.

Job Duties

Revenue
  • Own the combined entity general ledger revenue cycle

    Subscription based accounting

    MRR analytics

General ledger and subledger reconciliations including
  • Accounts Receivable

    Fixed assets

    Foreign entity subsidiary accounting

    Intercompany

    Sales & use tax filings, Canada GST filings

Project work as required

Specifics Include

  • Responsible for day to day entry of accounting transactions in a timely and accurate manner

    Drive transactional accounting inputs across key modules

    Accounting ticket triage and applicable reporting for all accounting related tickets

    Address and close basic accounting requests from customers, vendors, and internal staff

    Participate in the month end close process

    Responsible for the design, implementation, and completion of all schedules

    Manage and reconcile inventory counts to the balance sheet. Provide reconciled monthly inventory report to the Director of Finance as part of the close

    Responsible for completing accurate US and Canadian tax transactions to ensure overall compliance

    Manage all intercompany transactions and reconciliations

    Lead US state tax audits

    Lead year end audit field work

    Complete weekly payment run processing

    Be a key member of the accounting team by assisting with other responsibilities, including the participation in special projects and other ad hoc analysis

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Highly driven and results oriented

      Collaborative team problem solving skills

      Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting functions, emphasis on revenue and intercompany transactions

      Ability to work effectively in a complex, fast moving organization, satisfying the needs of multiple stakeholders, while managing competing priorities

      Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

      Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-departmentally

      Excellent inter-personal relationship skills and the ability to work with individuals of all levels

      Integrity to handle sensitive and/or confidential information

      Education and Work Experience

      • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience

        CPA strongly preferred

        Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting systems required or similar ERP experience

        Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word applications

        Experience in a high tech, rapidly growing, and/or SAAS environment is an asset
