**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Senior Big Data Engineer to join our team and help us drive business growth through data-driven insights and innovative solutions. As a Senior Big Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying big data solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, develop data-driven solutions, and implement them using cutting-edge technologies.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design, develop, and deploy big data solutions using Hadoop, Spark, and other related technologies
* Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and develop data-driven solutions
* Develop and maintain data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes to support business analytics and reporting
* Work with cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS to design and deploy scalable and secure big data solutions
* Develop and maintain automated testing and deployment scripts to ensure high-quality and efficient delivery of big data solutions
* Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to junior engineers to ensure high-quality code and best practices
* Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in big data and cloud computing and apply them to drive business growth and innovation
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
* 2+ years of experience in big data engineering, data science, or related field
* Strong experience with Hadoop, Spark, and other related technologies
* Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS
* Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, and Scala
* Experience with data warehousing and data lakes
* Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data security
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
* 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS
* Experience with microservices architecture and containerization
* Experience with NoSQL databases such as HBase, Couchbase, and MongoDB
* Experience with data science tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn
* Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
* Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
