Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a range of strategic project workstreams within a financial services environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in eliciting, analysing, and documenting business requirements, ensuring alignment between business needs and technology solutions.
This role reports directly to the Head of Business Analysis and requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, including Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), software developers, and testing teams.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with business SMEs to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements. Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for delivery teams. Work closely with software developers and testers to ensure requirements are properly understood and implemented.

Facilitate and lead requirements gathering workshops with stakeholders. Conduct data analysis and modelling to support business and system changes. Document and define system interface requirements.

Support delivery across multiple project workstreams including:Front Office Reporting Analysis
Back Office Reporting Analysis
Systems Interface Analysis

Ensure all deliverables meet agreed standards and align with organisational objectives.
Perform any additional related activities that are reasonably incidental to the core responsibilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computing, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline (or equivalent third-level qualification).
Required Experience
Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Business Analyst within the financial services industry.
Strong understanding of capital markets and market standards, ideally within:Treasury environments
Banking / Investment Banking
Fund Management

Core Business Analysis Expertise
Strong knowledge of financial products, particularly:Treasury loans
Deposits
Trade lifecycle processes

Experience across front-to-back office operations, including:Deal entry
Trade confirmations
Settlements (including SWIFT messaging)
Accounting and financial reporting

Familiarity with finance systems such as:Treasury Management Systems
Accounting systems / General Ledger
Financial Reporting and Management Information (MI)

Proven experience in:Leading and facilitating requirements workshops
Eliciting requirements from business stakeholders
Translating business needs into functional specifications

Proficiency in:Data analysis and data modelling techniques
System interface analysis and documentation

Desirable Experience
Experience working with Confluence and Jira.
Expertise in:Designing business process flow diagrams
Wireframing and storyboarding

The ideal candidate will be:
A strong communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
Highly analytical with the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable solutions
Comfortable working across multiple workstreams in a dynamic environment
Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
