Full-time

The Senior Business Development Analyst leads the financial and analytical work that underpins client strategy across a portfolio of group benefits programs. You will be responsible for interpreting claims experience, modeling plan and funding alternatives, and developing the financial recommendations that consultants and clients rely on at renewal and throughout the year. The role requires strong technical depth, sound judgment, and the ability to translate analysis into clear direction for senior stakeholders.

This is more than an analyst role. It is a seat at the table where strategy meets execution. You will partner directly with our VP of Enterprise Group Solutions to shape how we design, deliver, and evolve group benefits consulting for large group Enterprise clients. If you thrive at the intersection of financial rigor, creative problem solving, and meaningful client impact, this role was built for you.

The Senior Business Development Analyst will:
Claims and Financial Analysis
Analyze claims experience to identify utilization patterns, cost drivers, and trend assumptions, and present findings in a client-relevant context

Conduct experience analysis, including risk assessment, credibility weighting, and variance analysis to evaluate the financial sustainability of benefit programs

Develop multi-year forecasts and budget projections incorporating trend, demographic, and scenario assumptions

Plan Design and Strategy
Model the financial impact of plan design changes, flex credit structures, contribution strategies, and pricing scenarios

Benchmark plan cost and design competitiveness against relevant market data

Monitor industry trends, emerging risks, and funding innovations, and apply them to modeling

Renewal and Marketing
Lead renewal financial strategy, including rate validation, margin analysis, and carrier negotiation

Lead financial marketing exercises, including specifications, pricing normalization, and comparative analysis across carriers and funding arrangements

Evaluate carrier and vendor performance against contractual terms, including ASO fees, retention, and financial guarantees

Reporting and Governance
Prepare executive-level financial reports and presentations for senior client stakeholders

Oversee portfolio-level financial reporting, including commission tracking, fee reconciliation, and cost reporting

Conduct peer review of work produced by other analysts, including experience reports, pricing analyses, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and methodological consistency

Review ASO contracts, amendments, retention agreements, and pricing schedules for accuracy and financial integrity
