About the Role

We’re seeking a world-class Business Development Executive with a passion for sports and a background in sports technology to help grow our global client base. This remote role will focus on Germany as a region managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract close, with some of the most prestigious sports organizations in the world.

You’ll become an expert in our industry-leading technology and use your knowledge, personality, and drive to build lasting relationships and deliver results.

Candidates must be located in Germany to be considered.

What you'll do:

Leverage existing /relationships with elite sports contacts to generate immediate pipeline to consistently deliver against quarterly targets

Lead negotiations with C-suite, Sporting Directors, Heads of Performance, and Technical Directors

Identify and develop strategic partnerships (federations, leagues, distributors where relevant)

Experience expanding into new markets

Meet and exceed sales targets

Be methodical in your approach to deliver consistency of results

Prepare any sales quotes and orders in a timely and well-presented manner, ensuring that all information provided is accurate and without errors and that all documents used are relevant and specific to a given sport or institution

Creative during periods of negotiations, maximising return through the pricing matrix to ensure optimum results are achieved when closing commercial agreements.

Passionate about providing an exemplary customer experience and building lasting relationships within the industry

Be an industry expert-research, identify and understand the growing changes and trends within the market

Demonstrate a high level of product knowledge and understand what separates STATSports from the competition.

Ensure records are kept, monitored and tracked for all potential and current sales leads, internal documents and systems are updated daily to ensure accuracy and up to date info is provided.

Be proactive, creative, organised and demonstrate strong work ethic in order to complete daily tasks and drive sales growth.

Maintain a focus on continuous improvement, for your performance and processes


What you’ll need:

At least 5+ years of experience within Sports Technology environment

Significant experience selling GPS or similar Sports Tech Products

Demonstrated success closing six- and seven-figure commercial deals

An established, active network within elite sport in your region

Proven ability to enter new markets and win Tier 1 logos

A passion for and understanding of sport

Demonstrated ability to build, manage and grow relationships with key stakeholders

High level of commercial acumen and strategic thinking

Experience selling into complex, political buying environments

Willingness to travel extensively within the region and internationally


It would be great if you had:

Fluency in an additional language

Proficiency with Salesforce or a comparable CRM system
