You’ll lead our Waitrose Grocery business while also developing our presence within Marks & Spencer.

 

This is a senior, high-impact role where you’ll own the full customer relationship, from strategy and planning through to execution and performance delivery—working closely with internal teams and external partners to unlock growth.

 

What you’ll be doing

You’ll take full commercial ownership and lead growth across your accounts by:

Owning full P&L responsibility, delivering against key financial targets

Leading the development and delivery of Joint Business Plans (JBPs) and promotional strategies

Driving supplier planning that unlocks growth through strong execution

Leading internal and external performance reviews, identifying risks and opportunities

Negotiating and delivering impactful promotional programmes and range plans

Driving innovation and NPD success, using strong influencing and selling skills

Delivering accurate forecasts in partnership with Supply Chain and Finance

Collaborating with Marketing and Category to close distribution gaps and win new business

Ensuring pricing and promotional strategies are effectively executed

Managing account planning, financial tracking and commercial performance

 

What we’re looking for?

We’re looking for a commercially driven leader who thrives on building relationships and delivering results:

Strong experience in customer account management within FMCG

Proven ability to influence and negotiate at a senior level

Strong commercial awareness and data-led decision-making

Experience building winning relationships with customers and stakeholders

Strong cross-functional collaboration skills

Confident communicator with the ability to lead and inspire
