About the Role

At KOHO, our Senior Data Analysts are strategic partners who transform raw information into actionable business impact. We're seeking an experienced analyst who thrives at the intersection of technical expertise and marketing strategy to join our data team. In this role, you'll own the lifecycle and marketing analytics domain within our fintech ecosystem, turning complex customer lifecycle data into pipelines and clear narratives that drive decision-making at all levels. The ideal candidate is both technically proficient and marketing-savvy, equally comfortable optimizing a complex SQL query as they are presenting campaign performance insights to lifecycle managers.

What You'll Do
  • Own the lifecycle and marketing analytics domain: integrating data requirements into project planning, collaborate with lifecycle managers and cross-functional teams, building pipelines and dashboards for campaign analysis, audience measurement, and program effectiveness

Design and optimize data models with a strong focus on performance, leveraging advanced DBT features independently to support lifecycle campaign analysis and customer journey tracking

Develop dashboards that go beyond visualization to answer critical marketing questions and support strategic decision-making around customer lifecycle programs

Analyze lifecycle campaign performance, measure program effectiveness using global control groups, and support audience creation initiatives through data-driven insights

Proactively identify trends and opportunities through deep customer lifecycle analysis, thinking beyond immediate requests to uncover additional relevant insights about customer behaviour and campaign optimization

Partner with lifecycle managers to refine requirements, offering data-driven recommendations that align with marketing priorities and maximize campaign impact

Autonomously own project planning and participate in cross-functional domain ownership for lifecycle and marketing initiatives

Mentor team members and contribute to establishing best practices within the data organization

    Who You Are
    • You have 5+ years of experience in data roles

You can write, review and enhance SQL queries with a strong focus on code performance

You demonstrate advanced expertise in DBT, independently implementing complex features and understanding shared team pipelines

You have strong version control skills with Git, efficiently analyzing code history and reviewing PRs for quality and performance

You are a strong data storyteller: you can adapt communication to different audiences and clearly articulate recommendations that connect technical work to strategic marketing outcomes

You proactively identify work that should be prioritized based on business needs and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across domains

You have general marketing data knowledge including customer journey mapping, attribution modelling, retention/churn analysis, marketing mix modelling, and A/B testing methodologies

A bonus if you have experience or an interest in any of the following!
      • You are DBT certified

        Financial industry experience

Track record of driving process improvements and implementing data governance standards

Previous experience working with Braze or similar lifecycle marketing platforms for analysis or data projects

Experience with audience segmentation and marketing campaign measurement

Background in experimental design or control group methodology
