As a senior data engineer (Snowflake), you will architect, build, and optimize advanced data solutions, while leading projects and growing the capabilities of our data engineering team. You’ll work directly with stakeholders to understand business needs, coordinate resources, and deliver impactful analytics solutions.

We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you’ll do as a senior data engineer (Snowflake):

  • Architect, design and optimize scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms using Spark, Python, Snowflake, and DBT

    Lead end-to-end data engineering projects, ensuring quality delivery and effective resource management

    Translate business requirements into technical solutions; collaborate with BI teams using Power BI and Tableau

    Mentor data engineers and promote best practices for performance, scalability, and governance

    Develop and automate ETL/ELT workflows with Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Databricks; implement CI/CD and testing for data quality

    Apply advanced data modeling (dimensional, CDC, SCD), profiling, validation, and lineage tracking to ensure robust governance

    What we’re looking for:

    • 5+ years in data and analytics engineering with expertise in Spark, Python, Snowflake, and DBT

      Proven experience leading projects and supervising teams in data engineering

      Strong knowledge of cloud data warehouse architecture (Snowflake, Azure)

      Track record of mentoring and developing data engineers

      Advanced ETL/ELT expertise, including complex data movements, rollback strategies, and performance tuning

      Hands-on experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Dagster)

      Proficiency in automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and data quality frameworks

      Exposure to data governance, security strategies (masking, encryption), and diverse data sources (Oracle, APIs, SFTP)

      Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration

      Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus

      Strong data modeling skills (dimensional modeling, CDC, SCDs)

      Annualized Compensation Range

      $105,000.00 - $115,000.00

      This job is eligible for a company performance bonus in addition to the compensation range above.

      Starting pay offered will consider skills and experience. Your pay can grow as you build your career with us.
