Compensation: $5000-$7200 USD per month

About the Company

We’re partnering with a U.S.-based product company building platforms in the event management, ticketing, and fundraising space. Their products are used at scale and require high availability, reliability, and continuous iteration.

The team operates in a fast-moving, product-driven environment with a strong emphasis on ownership and execution.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior DevOps / SRE Engineer who thrives in high-autonomy environments and can operate effectively with limited structure, evolving priorities, and minimal onboarding.

This role requires someone who can jump in quickly, understand systems with limited documentation, and start improving reliability and infrastructure from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing

Own and improve cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS)

Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines

Ensure system reliability, uptime, and performance across services

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues independently

Work closely with engineering and product teams to support releases

Identify bottlenecks and proactively implement improvements

Handle shifting priorities and urgent production needs

Occasionally perform on-call rotations (compensation time to be granted: flexible time off later)

What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves

5+ years of experience in DevOps / SRE / Infrastructure roles

Strong experience with AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, networking, etc.)

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker

Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills

Solid scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)

Strong English communication (direct collaboration with U.S. team)

Critical Success Traits (Most Important)
This is key for success in this role:

High ownership mentality
You take initiative and drive things forward without waiting

Comfort with ambiguity
You can operate without perfect documentation or defined processes

Fast ramp-up ability
You’re able to contribute within days

Strong problem-solving independence
You unblock yourself and move forward

Adaptability to changing priorities
You’re comfortable in dynamic, sometimes reactive environments

Nice to Have
Experience in startup or fast-paced product environments

Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

Experience supporting high-traffic or mission-critical systems

What Success Looks Like

You’re actively contributing within your first 1–2 weeks

You can take ownership of infrastructure tasks with minimal guidance

You proactively identify and fix issues before they escalate

You maintain consistent output even when priorities shift

What This Role Is NOT
To be transparent, this role may not be a fit if you:

Prefer highly structured environments with detailed onboarding

Need constant direction or step-by-step guidance

Struggle with changing priorities or unclear requirements

Why This Role

Work on high-scale, real-world systems

High ownership and visibility from day one

Fast-moving environment with real impact

Opportunity to shape infrastructure and reliability practices
